We visited the Harvester in Halifax for the first time on the 31st of August 2012 and were served by James he was very attentive without being in your face and exceptionally helpful. James was polite without being too stuffy, he was very friendly, a good waiter worth keeping!!!!!

We visited again on the 30th January to celebrate my birthday and was disappointed to find a crawler on the lettuce leaf of Miss Patels starter, this made her vomit and put us off our meal, again staff were very helpful and polite but we could not continue with our meal and left. We are sure this was a one off and will visit again at a later date.

  6. Visited the Forest Bromsgrove for the first time for 2 years, hoping the restaurant had improved somewhat from our previous visit, and had reached the standard of The Wichway. Alas we were disappointed having waited for 20 minutes for a table for 2 when we noticed empty tables in the restaurant which remained so throughout our meal. After waiting another 10 minutes before a waitress codescended to take our order we ordered chicken wrap for my partner and steak wrap for me. When the food arrived some 15 minutes later, both wraps were under cooked and the steak wrap (described in the menu as thin strips of steak) contained lumps of meat which necessitated opening the wrap to cut them into edioble sizes. I don't anticipate another visit in the immediate future, we'll stick with the Wichway.
There were also no plates at the salad bar for the bread rolls which nmeant balancing rolls and butter on top of the salad and placing them on serviettes at the table, this in spite of serving staff frequently passing the salad bar and looking for needed replacements.
Very disappointing visit certainly to the standard to which we have become accustomed in Harvester pubs.

  10. Visited "The Windsor Lad, Havester Restaurant" Maidenhead Road near Windsor today, we were served by Becky Burton who acted so professionally treated us so well we will definitely pay a visit there again soon. Becky knew how to deal with my types of allergies and gave me good advice on what I may enjoy eating and what I may have problems with, which was so nice of her to be so helpful. Mr. P. Peacock

  11. Went to the David copperfeild in Thanet Kent.
Service was fine but the meal was fairly grim.
We had to ask the waiting staff for the full order for our shared starter ( corn on the cob and garlic bread) only one garlic bread arrived.
The surf and turf arrived with a large section of which was fat and grisle. The king prawns were very greasey and hard to peel and the meat of the prawn dry with a unusual flavour. I did not eat them.
My wifes meal was ok although she was not happy with hers.
Which is a shame because we have eaten here loads of times over the years with no fuss or gripes. Maybe it was a one off.

  14. Pat - August 21st 6.15 pm - Three Pots Hinckley
Very disappointed have been dinning at Harvester for years. Since the new menu and price increase it as dropped in value for money with smaller portions (eg chicken and bacon stack)etc. On this occasion asked to be move due to flies buzzing about. Also my grand-daughter (aged 7) order Macaroni with a cheesy sauce which turned out to be white sauce with grated cheese on top, she remarked it was horrible and refused to eat It. Ed was wonderful and dealt with complains. Will not be going again unless friends and family who are daft enough to go, give a good report.

  15. I have visited the Harvester in West Bromwich several times since they opened a couple of months ago. I just love the Harvester food and most of all the staff there. I was served today by two lovely waiters Blake and James. They are absolutely amazing young men. They are friendly, and have brilliant communication skills. A week ago I had the pleasure of Blake serving a party of 12 people I took to Harvester, West Bromwich. He did not falter in any shape or form. He recommended the wines we should have, was very patient with everybody, polite, attentive and I would say is the best waiter I have come across in any West Midlands restaurant that I have been to. A real credit to the company.

  16. Well served and looked after by Paul & Heather at the Cleveleys Lancs, my wife and a friend in the party. The chips were the best I've had in this type of Resturant

  20. Fabulous meal served to us by AMANDA at Sevenoaks Harvester. She really went the extra mile for us; bringing extra vegetables with a smile, hurrying with awareness of our time constraints, and helping with my chair and coat (as I have MS). The roast beef 'special' Valentines dinner was delicious! Thank you Harvester!
