  1. We visited Epping on the 22nd December 2012 for my husbands 70th birthday we had a table for six. The experience was very good the food was excellent and the service was excellent. We had a lovely ice cream cake which I ordered when placing the booking in November which was also excellent. We shall definitely be back!!

  2. We visited miller and carter in penn wolverhampton on the 19th of January,The food was out of this world, i could eat there every day. our server Charlotte was brilliant,couldnt of asked for anything better,absolutely fabulous carnt wait to return!!

We booked a table for 5, we were seated upstairs in the Wilmslow branch, the service was fabulous, the service was great and we were celebrating Valentines day as well as my husbands 50th Birthday, we could not have asked for a better evening. We were also given a bottle of Champagne and this was very much enjoyed by all.

    we visited bourne road restaurant in bexley, we have been there before and the food is always excellent staff are very helpfull
    its well worth a visit as it has got beautiful gardens and a lovely coffee shop, we will be going back again can't praise it highly enough brilliant...first class...

  5. Just came back from the Garforth and was served by Teri who couldn't have been more helpful Thank you Teri. We had great food and service and although there was a slight problem with one of our steaks being a little bit underdone to our liking it was quickly resolved to perfection with a clean plate and fresh
    chips. Looking forward to our next visit.

  6. the wife and i called into miller and carter at parbold on the way home from visiting relatives, the time was 4pm so the restuarant was nice and quiet, we had a lovely meal and was served by the lovely megan, a nice pleasant young lady,however the chef must be applauded for cooking 2 lovely steaks, reading the previous comments nobody seems to mention the kitchen staff, well all i can say is everyboby in that restaurant was really really nice, thank you

    My partner and I have just eaten at the miller & carter restaurant in Bexley.
    It is a very fine, converted barn set up.
    The restaurant itself is impressive.
    However, there were small electric heaters plugged in and running all over the establishment as the cold temperatures and draughts were terrible.
    I had to ask to move table to a warmer spot :(
    Starters were tasty but small in portion and I feel over priced.
    Mains, my partner had the chicken salad was I quote her 'nothing to write home about !'.
    I had the 12oz rump steak. It appeared on the small size but was a tasty bite.
    Was served with a slice of iceberg lettuce.. (all gimmick a waste of table space) left uneaten !
    Also served with, onion loaf.. More like greasy onion mess. Mine was served cold :(
    This was replaced when brought to the waitresses attention.
    There is no bar in this establishment, we were expected to wait without drinks in a lounge area before being seated :(
    We are not too impressed, would not come again and would definity not recommend to friends.
    Management here have a beautiful restaurant.. But need to take a close look at their business options. There is no WOW factor here but could be if management were to take a more professional approach.

  8. Me and my partner and son just eaten at Miller and Carter in Garforth. We haven't been for over 18mths as had more than a few bad experiences there, however our meal tonight was very good, the service was friendly and efficient so all in all we had a good evening. Let's hope they can keep it up!

  9. My son and I visited the restaurant on Easter Sunday. I was very busy but we were given a table without having to book it. The waitress was extremely helpful giving us sensible reports on the menu and was a pleasure to have her serving us with out lunch which was very satisfactory. Both of us enjoyed our visit to your restaurant and will certainly return in the future.

  10. wendy and family..april 8th.. we had a wonderful evening when we celebrated my partners birthday.. nothing was too much trouble for the staff.. the food excellent and the entire evening went off splendidly.. Jo our waitress was very charming and attentive to our needs as were the other staff. been there twice now and would certainly go again...

  11. I am a fairy regular visitor to the Penn branch and have seen the prices gradually increase over the last year. Now whilst the food is still excellent the wine prices are now exorbitant.
    Typical for a 250cc glass of Shiraz was £7.80 or £23.40/bottle.
    That's removes any enjoyment of the food however good and will also remove the customers.

  12. My husband and I visited the Liverpool Albert Docks Steak House on Friday 19th of April with 4 French relatives having their last evening meal before flying back to France. We hadn't booked but were ushered immediately to a table with comfortable leather seats . Our waiter, Ernesto, was very helpful, explaining each dish in detail and taking great care with our order for steaks which varied from blue to well done (thanks to the chef, Patrick). The food was really very good, the ambience busy but not noisy, the service with food and drinks swift and effortless.
    Thank you Miller and Carter for making our last evening with my brother and family from France a very enjoyable occasion.

  13. Just had a table for six at the Bull in Wheathamstead having been there before on a regular basis and enjoyed it. This time however the service for drinks and food was long winded the portions small and therefore pricey, the chicken was overcooked (hard) and smothered in barbecue sauce the fries were very salty, and four ribs comprised a half rack of ribs. I will not be going there again in a hurry

We had a table for four at the LAKESIDE restaurant last night and had an excellent meal in good surroundings although it took a little while to discover that the wine ordered, Monteplciano d'Abruzzo, was out of stock. The Rioja was fine and the service was good without being intrusive. This was our first visit. We will go again.

  16. Made a visit to our local Miller and Carter at Crayford on 7th June.The service was execellent and also the food. The staff were very efficient and polite nothing was to much trouble for them. We will continue to go again.

Came to Millie's and carter today or Father's Day , I had booked the wrong one but the lady in charge of arranging the table bookings was very helpful and sorted us a table nd the wait time wa only 30 mintues . We was hen seated and looked after by Adriana she was by far a great waitress very helpful and looked after our every needs . If I returned to miller and carter I would love Adriana o wait on our table again .

  20. Whet to Miller & Carter last night for the 3rd time in Penn, Lucy our waitress was amazing, starters were love and quick, an the steak was amazing cooked just right. Would eat there every day if I could.. Super friendly and professional steak house

    Also visited M & C but for lunch with my wife - service excellent and meal fantastic. This is only our second visit but rates very highly and met all expectations as per the recent very good write up this restaurant got in the Wolverhampton Magazine this month - will definitely be going back

Visited on Saturday 28th September for our sons 16th birthday, we have been to Miller and Carter in Talke, a few times, unfortunately tonight was a total let down, we had to wait 20, minutes for any one to ask if we would like a drink, which came wrong when it arrived, it took 35 minutes to even order which eventually came, the main corset wasn't to its best fatty steak, slow service,in all 3 courses, if it hadn't of been our sons birthday we would if left. The waiter Josh was very nice!! It all jusrlt seemed very un professional, the floor had dropped napkins,bits of paper, crushed bread sticks!! It just all seemed a mess. The toilets are also a let down, basic cleanliness goes a very long way, when you aren't having the best experience your eyes wounded and you start to pick up on all the negatives. We hope this experience is a one off bad one, but we won't return for along time. Such a shame because the staff who serve you seem very attentive. The management needs to get there eyes out alot more, there is hard competition out there. :(

  27. visited M&C in Ruislip, on entering we were given a very warm welcome by Sharon, who also showed us to our seats and let us know our server would be Jeanette, we were seated at a very nice table for two. The very nice Jeanette came and took our drinks and also took our food order, well done to the chef and kitchen staff, we had haddock and chips and then the most super apple crumble tart with custard husband had the same. the service by Jeanette was very nice and nicely timed throughout..well done to all staff at Ruislip M&C

    We went to the bexley branch of miller and carter for my friend's birthday and had an absolutely wonderful time. The food was terrific and our waitress, Lottie, was a joy to be with. We look forward to booking again soon!

  29. We have been to Ruislip branch several times and were there on Saturday 26 October for my birthday. Our waitress, Vagi, gave us excellent service in a friendly and jolly way, as do all the staff.

    Five friends plus myself , all pensioners, have been lunching at the Garforth
    branch weekly for most of this year. The food has always been excellent as
    was the service - our regular waitress, Teri deserves a special thank you.

  32. I along with 10 friends went for Lunch today, to the Garforth restaurant, everyone commented that the food was really good and tasty, all steaks were cooked to perfection and the seabass was amazing, we will all be certainly coming back again!.

    I was asked to organise our Christmas meal venue this year in Liverpool for our team who cover North West and Wales, I booked the Liverpool Albert Dock branch. When we arrived we were greeted by Jonathan who made us feel very special and couldn’t do enough for us, when we were seated Jonathan introduced our server Michele, she was absolutely fantastic, she was very friendly and looked after us really well, we would also like to congratulate the Chef Jason and kitchen staff as the food was excellent and timed perfect throughout the evening, I’ve received feedback from all my colleagues saying what a fantastic night they had, the tasty food, atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was second to none !!!!! Well done to all the staff at Liverpool Albert Dock

  34. We go quite a few times a year to Miller & Carter in Garforth.. ( the early bird is a particular favorite)
    Dad wanted us to go for a family meal before Christmas and he said we had £25 each towards our meal. I could not decide which main course i wanted most and eventually went for the belly pork starter ...mmm moist!! and then a sirloin steak backed up with a surf n turf side ( my brother in law spotted that and i decided not to miss out )
    Christine was our waitress but all the staff were amazing from start to finish.
    We love going back because the menu is so easy for you to mix and match your food to your mood...

  35. we went to this steakhouse on the 27th December 2013. my husband had a T-bone which he ask to be well done but was not, I had the surlion with ribs I also asked for well done which was not also the ribs were so burnt could not eat them. when the waitress came to ask us if the meal was ok I said not really the ribs were burnt all she could say was sorry. this steakhouse was at Liverpool the waitresses name was Amy. But to me not value for money would not recommend it to anyone sorry.

  36. we went to the miller and carter in shirley on sunday 30th december 2013.We went at 4.30 pm.My husband and i had cheddar mushrooms to start ,but the mushrooms had hardly any cheddar in them they were not very tasty.We let that pass looking forward to our t bone steaks which we ordered medium. When our steaks came they were cold the garlic butter did not even start to melt.Kerry our waitress was very helpful she returned our steaks to the chef who warmed them up and gave us the same steaks back .The steaks were not much better still not very hot , they were rather bloody by the bone. We go to the miller regular because we enjoy our steak there.When we go we give our meal a score out of ten.On past visits we have scored it 9 or 10 out of ten. On this occasion it was 0 out of ten. We will not be going back any time soon.

    Just been to the Miller and Carter at Potters Bar table for four. The place has been refurbished nicely but the food leaves a lot to be desired. One of us ordered Nachos they were bland and mostly burnt the accompaniments dips and melted cheese were hard to find on the first serving second offering not much better. One of us ordered rib-eye steak for main course stipulating that it be medium rare and without any sauce or butter, presented with butter on top. Sent back as not what was ordered, it was back at table in under 5 minuets first bite it didn't taste right and was defiantly not medium rare. They had taken the stake back to kitchen and tried to flash grill the butter off which had infused the steak with the butter taste made it dry and then over cooked it. Declined another meal as replacement. Then it comes to dessert and creme brulee well that's what it said on the menu. I have never seen runny non caramelized creme brulee but this restaurant serves them. This was sent back and what was supposed to be a fresh one appeared after a further ten minute wait. Well it was now caramelized on top but still runny under the top and full of sugar granules. This was not eaten. In all all meals were unsatisfactory as food was not really that hot. All in all a bad experience and wont be going back anytime soon even though they did discount the meals.

  38. My husband and I visited The Cheshire Oaks Miller and Carter on Saturday 1st Feb 2014. Although the restaurant was extremely busy We did not have to wait too long to be seated and our waitress 'April' was great, very pleasant and efficient. The whole service was excellent especially considering how busy it was. The manger was also very polite and friendly. All in all a great experience and will return soon.

  39. My wife and I go to Miller and Carter at Talke about every 6 weeks. On this occasion I treated my 3 golfing friends who I have been playing golf with on a Sunday morning for about 15 years. They had never been before and they were well impressed . They all text me the following day expressing their gratitude and how much they enjoyed the food. I knew they would, that was why I took them, it is always very consistent and reliable and friendly.

  40. I have just come back from the Chigwell miller and carter with my other half,our young daughter and the inlaws. We got a great table and our server 'Jamie' was very friendly& attentive and was fantastic with our daughter who loved him! The food was excellent and prompt even though we had ordered a lot. Nothing was too much trouble and we didnt even get told off at the state of the floor covered in our daughters thrown food. Will definately be returning soon. Your steaks are awesome!!!

  44. After just arriving from Bath at 6.30 PM on our first visit to Liverpool,The Miller and Carter was suggested. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the young waitress Lauren was so helpful and a delightful young lady. We are going back tomorrow night. Well done to the Chef and staff'

  45. went to the newly opened Miller and carter in Hereford disappointed with steak meal to much seasoning on steaks all i could taste was salt and pepper and my girl friend could not eat hers to much pepper plus they put sea salt on chips which makes them very salty and as for the the salad being just iceburg in a bowl whats that all about sorry but i will not be returning can get better steak in local pub
