  1. I was served by Elton who took me through the
steps to decide which computer would be best for me. After I had made my decision, he gave me a list of steps to follow to set up my computer by myself as that is what I wanted to do. He was extrememly patient and explained the how and what to me. At present my new computer is charging up the battery so that I may proceed to the next step. Very pleased with the way I was dealt.

  3. Served by 61 Robert who was really good with his knowledge and patience [he needs to be as I'm not in the slightest bit "tekky"!!]. When I want advice on computers etc I genuinely go nowhere else as their customer service standards together with the consistency of advice is top notch.

  4. Hereford store service is appalling I was sent all over store from disinterested employees and had to wait 30 mins until I gave up !! As I have a broken leg this was not the service I would expect. I went and found info on line and purchased on line from another provider.

    Appalled Hereford

  6. I bought a laptop in pcworld in ayr on monday 13th may, I was told it would be in later in the week, so i called on thursday
16th may, it had not arrived, I was told it would be in monday
20th may, so i phoned on monday and was told it was still not in,
I was told i could get one at braehead branch 40 miles away,
and was told to bring it back to ayr to be set up, and to have my
half hour tuition. so i delivered it back to ayr yesterday 21st
where i was told it would take 5 hours to set it up, and i was told to come back today, for my tuition & collect my laptop.
so I have now been paying monthly rental to 3.co.uk for the last 9 days & i have still not received my laptop.
I would not like anyone else to have to go through an
experience like this, i feel shattered.
    yours faithfully j.k.mcconnell@talktalk.net

  7. visited currys in enniskillen to buy humax freesat box, knowing very little about such i asked for advice.I was informed we only required one cable from the sat dish to reciever(this was confirmed by a colleague too),they also tried to sell us hdmi cable for £39 when there was one included in th package. On arriving home and reading the instructions to install the first thing required was two cables from the sat dish,I particularly asked about this because I was aware we previously had an old sky system. There is either a staff traing need or are currys sell policys questionable, product purchased ok but will not return

  9. was asked to tell you about my visit to PC World today
I'd rather do this in in my kinda way

Today I went to PC World to get a longer cable
I didn't need to ask for help - I understood the label
And Shanie opened up the till - especially for me
And then I trotted off back home to rig up my PC
Shame I can't take home your staff - for help if it is needed
But if you get this message then I've obviously succeeded

    love from Debrashirley

  13. Following a frustrating time waiting for the KNOWHOW team to confirm that a replacement fridge freezer bought from the Bangor branch of North Wales had to be replace following an electrical fire in the circuit of the appliance. It took KNOWHOW well over two weeks and still be unable to resolve the issue of a replacement, even though we had a premium cover police with them. Only when to try and rectify the situation we went back to the Bangor branch of Currys and received an assurance that a replacement would be forthcoming. And in this respect I feel that special recognition should go to the following staff that found the time to understand the problem issues we had, so for impressive quality of service Rachel, Mandy, and Scott take a bow. It's just a pity that the KNOWHOW organisation has a disfunctional team that is not fit for purpose

  14. Curry's at St James Retail Park Northampton is place to go for service not Riverside. Staff at Curry's St James were polite, helpful and able to deal with questions on products. yippee. Makes a change; neither did they try to hustle one to buy extras and actually accepted the words no thanks. Used free delivery had to wait 14 days but they took all packaging away and put item where I asked. So spent money and will go again to Curry's St James for other white good items. M Smith

  15. I bought a Panasonic TZ30 camera in the Cardiff St Davids Arcade store today. Ibrahim was very helpful answering my questions and I wanted the TZ30 camera that was on display but when Ibrahim checked, the only one left in store was the display one. I asked if the store could order a new one for me but Ibrahim was told that there would not be any more of this line coming in. I said do any of the other Currys have one and the Merthyr store was contacted and I was told they said that they had five left if I wanted to come to Merthyr (30 miles away) to collect one. I said I didn't have a car and could the Merthyr store send one to Cardiff and I would pick it up another day. I was told 'No, Currys did not do this any more'. I think this is poor customer service. I bought the display TZ30 from Ibrahim because his personal customer service had been so excellent but the refusal to send a new TZ30 camera to the Cardiff shop by the other store was poor and I find it an odd policy. If I had not been dealt with so well by Ibrahim, frankly I would have walked out and the sale would have been lost.

Today at Poole Megastore, Unit 8, Wessex Gate Retail Park I queued for 25 minutes for a refund of £9.99! The two assistants on duty at the Know How help desk which doubles as a refund desk were helping customers with their various problems on their various pieces of equipment, while other members of staff seemed to be walking backwards and forwards and appeared to be doing nothing there was also a young woman working at a checkout cash desk who had very few customers for the entire time that I was queuing! I totally understand that computer problems can be time consuming to fix but there must be a way to look after those customers who need another kind of service too! I feel that the your current way of dealing with refunds is very poor customer service! Customers, who, treated quickley and efficiently will come back time and time again. On a positive note eventually Matthew, assistant 312 came to help and I was his second customer. He was a curteous and efficient young man

My friend and I took our time in choosing and Janine never made us feel rushed at any time. I am very pleased with the model I bought and feel very confident that I got the best laptop.
Janine is an asset to Currys.

  21. We were served by Aaron at Curry's Lowestoft on the 27th. We wanted a reasonably priced Touch Laptop and suitable software, Aaron was very knowledgeable, patient with our queries and put us at our ease on what can be a confusing topic. Aaron guided us through the decision process until we were satisfied with the choices we made. Aaron is a credit to Lowestoft in his professional approach and friendly attitude which we observed not only with ourselves but towards other customers. This is the second Laptop which we have recently purchased from Curry's and were more than happy to wait to be served by Aaron as we had previously experienced excellent service from him.
